The Huai River originates from the northwest valley of Taibaiding on Tongbai Mountain in Tongbai County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Its source is 1140 meters above sea level, and its main source is Huaijing. Due to its highest altitude and farthest distance from the East China Sea, Emperor Qin Shi Huang once established the Huai Temple here in history, and Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty also sent officials to investigate and confirm its source. The main stream of the Huai River flows from west to east through four provinces of Hubei, Henan, Anhui, and Jiangsu, and finally joins the Yangtze River at Sanjiangying in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, with a total length of about 1000 kilometers and a total drop of 200 meters. http://shigebao.com.cn/thread-1274913-1-1.html
