A Dusk Scene By A River Village
At the river end the setting sun shines on flat beach sand.
The tide’s ebbed and fishing boats slantingly strand.
A couple of white birds on the brink leisurely stand;
On seeing me they start and fly into a reed land.
On The West Lake
Red blossoms bloom on trees and orioles are noisily chirping.
Tall weeds flourish by the tranquil lake over which egrets are wheeling.
The wind’s gentle,the sky’s clear,and the people are gay:
Even at sunset on returning boats they still drums beat and flutes play.
April In Countryside
Hilly plains’re oil-green and tidal rivers’re milk-pale:
In cuckoos’cuckoo reigns a misty drizzle.
April in countryside sees no people unoccupied:
They transplant rice shoots after putting silkworms aside. |
